Not Pacman is a peculiar version of the classic Pacman game which, in spite of sharing many common elements with the Namco classic, is played completely differently. The reason is that, instead of directly controlling the Pacman, you control the level, which you can turn however you wish so that the rest of the characters all move accordingly thanks to a realistic physics system. This means that if at some point you incline the level to the left, both your round hero and the ghosts will roll down in this direction, while if you incline it to the right, they'll roll to the right.
The objective will still be the same: collect all the pills without dying in the process, but the way you go about it is completely different. Not Pacman's graphics are identical to the original, which is why even though it is a bit off, you won’t find it offensive to see or anything like that. Not Pacman is a pretty entertaining videogame that goes beyond being a simple curiosity to offer a game with a fun gameplay and for which you will require skills and patience.
Pac The Man X Mojave
Pac Man doesn't need any introduction. The arcade designed by Toru Iwatani for Namco and released in 1980 is the most popular videogame ever created. The yellow dots eater and the four ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde are not only present in many remakes, sequels and ports of the original arcade; you can also find them in novels and movies (Ready Player One and Wreck-It Ralph anyone?)We were really undecided about the version to propose to you. There are so many ports, remakes and 'deluxe' versions out there.
Pac Man has been ported to all the possible computers and consoles. Since GamesNostalgia is dedicated to computer games, we wanted a version that was almost contemporary of the arcade (so no Windows) but at the same time quite similar to the arcade, so we excluded ports such as the Commodore Vic 20, C64, ZX Spectrum and Atari 2600 ones that have small sprites and flattened maze. We also didn't want the screen to scroll (if it was not for that, the Game Gear Pac-Man would be pretty nice). Our choice is the MSX version of Pac Man, released in 1984.
The graphics are very similar, the only difference you can see is the monochromatic sprites. Music is also the same and the gameplay is very arcade-like.If you want to feel like Billy Mitchell, just try it and let us know what you think about it.
