How To Install Winfast Tv2000 Xp Expert
Hi All,According to the below link, Leadtek TV2000 XP Expert is supported by Windows 8.1. Still, I do not get sound, when viewing the TV Channels, I have video but no sound. The sound card is working as I get audio from all other applications, except the TV tuner.Any ideas?HiA product appearing on the Microsoft Compatibility website does not guarantee compatibility unless the product displays the Windows 8 Compatibility Logo.If a product displays this logo it means that the product has been submitted by the product developer to Microsoft for testing.
Thanks for your interest.I did the following, I think I have done this before.1) In add/remove programs I removed the Winfast/WDM driver. This gave me many advertisements for a few minutes, then said it had finished removing the driver and rebooted.2) On reboot windows automatically detected the hardware and went about reinstalling the device without giving me any chance to choose a new driver.
It only stopped when it could not find the filec:winntsystem32winfastmulmediawf88vcap.syswhich evidently was deleted by the uninstall process. I know there is a new one in the new driver package, but my system does not recognize that package as viable drivers.3) I canceled from this installation, went into device manager, found the hardware with missing drivers and tried to install the new driver in its place. It again said it found one already in my system area and tried installing it, only to run up against the deleted driver file again. It simply does not think that the package from leadtek is any use for anything.Got any ideas? As I said, I have done this all before. I'm pretty sure I got out if it by executing the install program from the CD.
It appears to know how to install the drivers.By the way, I am getting a growing list of winfast entries in my registry. They don't seem to be deleted when I remove the device, and whenever I install it I get another set! I am even more confused after doing the following.I copied the installation CD onto my harddrive, found the folder with the driver files in it, and replaced them with the ones from the latest zip file listed above. I then burned the CD and installed from it.
The result?During the installation process win2k brought up the 'new hardware found' message for quite some time. I ignored it as I have done in the past. I think some people may get into trouble with this, as reported in this newsgroup.I now have driver 5.13.1.1309 installed again (without a date)! Note,I put driver version 5.13.1.3301 on the CD, so the installation package must ignore the files on the CD - likely has them in one of the CAB files.Note also, I cannot get even the 5.13.1.1309 files to install from the web download, so it appears that something is messed up and the web drivers just cannot be used by my system.
Dvd cloner 2017 download. You dont need to uninstall the old drivers or let windows find them for you, what you have to do is go to control panel/system/hardware/device manager/sound,video and game controllers and click in each of WinFast TV2000 XP Expert WDM Video Capture, tvtuner and crossbar separately and choose driver/update driver/install from a specific location(advanced)/dont search,i will choose the driver to install from/have disk and browse to the folder with the new drivers and choose the specific driver you are updating,do this for all 3 drivers, remember to choose the right ones for each.
