Levinson blade guitar serial numbers

1990's made in Switzerland Blade by Levinson strat, Texas standard professionnal model, serial number is 128XXX (under 130XXX the guitars were built in Switzerland, and inKorea after serial number 130XXX). The guitar is in great condition, only three minor dings on the body (they can hardly be seen on the pictures), and one on the back. The neck is perfect, not any ding on the back, the profile is very smooth and slim, it has the Fender strat headstock (so the guitar comes from the pre-lawsuit period), with the blue Blade logo. Frets are ok, only the first two are slightly marked. The three pickups are original, the soldering has not been modified since it left the Blade plant in the 1990's. The guitar is equiped with the Varium Spectrum Control.

This is an on-board preamp that provides to program two extra settings, by trimming three pots on the back of the guitar (very easy to do). You can activate or desactivate it with a three way switch (located between the volume and tone pots). Then you can have a truly vintage strat sound (with VSc off) or two selfmade preamp settings. Just take a look at Blade VSC settings on the net, you will find some settings examples.

The guitar comes with a brand new ABS flightcase. Free shipping in the EU, reduced for the USA.Product Specs. I will ship with tracking to the listed regions.

Blade Guitars Review

I'm wondering what model and year it is?It's a Blade by Gary Levinson, ebony fretboard (22 frets), active pickups, locking tuners, and a suhr style headstock.I can't seem to find many Blade's with the suhr style headstock online, and the one's I do find don't have the model listed and or don't have the active Levinson pickups. Possibly this is a late 80s/early 90s model? The serial number has been of no help. I've taken it apart multiple times, and I can't find a manufacturing date. The neck heel is stamped K009 or KOO9, but I have no idea what that means either? After playing it a bit, I'm assuming this is a higher end Blade model. It sure does play like it.

Love the fretboard, and the active pickups have a rather nice tone to them.Any help would be appreciated. Here's a photo album:. I was surprised by the shape of that Blade guitar's headstock. I've been aware of Blade guitars for about 15 years, but hadn't seen that headstock before. But I did find one just now, which-if you can believe this what's said on this page-is a model RH-4, from 1995:But the pics on the page above were obviously taken from the site selling the guitar, which I've linked below. They make no claims about it being a 1995, so I don't know where the first guy gets his info:Note that the above guitar seems to have 'Levinson' pickups (the printing is a bit worn). Here's another Blade with that headstock.

The seller claims it is a 1990:And the Blade in post #13 of the following page claims to be a 1991, with that headstock:This Blade doesn't have a claimed year of manufacture, but does have a serial number, which I thought would be interesting info:I'm posting this 1992, which has a Fender-correct type headstock because I suspect that it was a European-market guitar, and that another headstock (like OP's) might be a USA-market guitar. Also, it has a serial number that is sort-of close to the OP's, and is said to be a Japan-made guitar:This guitar-said to be from 1993-has a serial number that is not very close to OP's:Post number 5 & 7 on the page below show a Tele-type guitar with OP's headstock, said to be made in Japan, in 1993 (includes a pic of a 1993 catalog):Here's a 1988 (supposedly) with OP's pickups, but, sadly, no headstock or serial number pic:No year model is given for this headstock-match to OP's, but I have a feeling it's a much newer guitar. It seems to have a 6-digit serial number:This headstock-match is said to be from the early 90's, but has no serial number info:I also saw a said to be 1993 model with OP's pickups (Fender-correct headstock)Hope this helps!.
